Building an AI solutions factory for a financial services firm

We introduced a new way of working for a financial services organisation, changing the way they took concepts from idea to production – whilst boosting the data & AI competency and understanding of all their staff.

Challenge

Our client had invested in data strategy and leadership education, but struggled to turn their ambition into execution. Ideas for AI and data innovation were developing, yet teams lacked a clear, repeatable process to move from concept to production. Responsibility for delivery was fragmented between central and business unit teams, leading to stalled initiatives and limited organisational confidence in scaling AI.

Solution

Our AI Solutions Factory built on the data strategy and data education we wrote for the executive leadership team. We worked collaboratively to deliver AI solutions through a centralised ‘factory’ model, which tied back to our client’s overall business strategy. To ensure meaningful adoption across the business, we trained their teams using role-specific upskilling methodologies along the way.

Results

  1. A clear data and AI delivery method enabled the Head of Data to secure ongoing investment for later use cases

  2. Proven data innovation processes and technology ensured a full value opportunity pipeline for the future

  3. Education drove data literacy and delivery of data and AI capabilities across the leadership teams and beyond.
